National Labor Observatory reviews the labor market during May

The National Labor Observatory (NLO) has issued a detailed publication with figures regarding the Saudi labor market in the private sector for May 2024. The publication provides an overview of the total workforce in the private sector until the end of the month, detailing the numbers of male and female citizens and residents working in the private sector. Additionally, it includes the net growth of citizen jobs and the numbers of individuals joining the private sector for the first time in May. 

According to the report, the total number of workers in the private sector has exceeded 11,370,796 during May, indicating continuous growth in job creation in this sector. The report further reveals that the total number of citizen workers in the private sector during May was 2,358,227, comprising 1,386,904 male citizens and 971,323 female citizens. In contrast, the total number of resident workers in the private sector was 9,012,569, including 8,641,249 male residents and 371,320 female residents. 

The report also reviews the net growth of citizen jobs in May, with 30,881 citizens joining the private sector for the first time. 

It's noteworthy that the National Labor Observatory issues various reports and publications regularly, including the "Overview of the Saudi Labor Market in the Private Sector," which is published monthly. Established by royal decree in 2010, the National Labor Observatory serves as the primary and trusted source of labor market data in the kingdom.
