Launching Early Work Initiative to Uncover Youth Potential
The Human Resources Development Fund has launched the "Early Work" initiative, one of the initiatives of the Human Capability Development Program, which is part of Saudi Vision 2030. The initiative aims to discover the potential of youth aged 15 to 24 and enhance their contribution to sustainable development and the national economy by providing early entry opportunities into the labor market.
The initiative seeks to instill values of work, excellence, and discipline while enhancing skills and capabilities and increasing youth participation in the labor market. This contributes to achieving Saudi Vision 2030 goals in human capability development and higher employment rates. Additionally, it strengthens the competitiveness of the private sector and boosts opportunities for economic growth.
HRDF has invited young men and women to benefit from five programs and products tailored to the 15–24 age group. These include the Career Guidance Program, e-Training Program (Doroob), and products such as Professional Experience, Cooperative Training, and Graduate Development Program (Tamheer). Interested individuals can access these offerings via HRDF's website at HRDF.org.sa. These programs and products are designed to prepare youth to achieve their career goals, raise their awareness of labor market requirements, and open doors to promising career opportunities.
HRDF also called on private sector establishments to leverage the potential of youth by offering diverse training and employment opportunities through its programs and products. The Fund praised the successful partnership with private sector organizations and their efforts to empower Saudi youth, develop their skills, and increase their access to the labor market.
The "Early Work" initiative specifically aims to identify youth capabilities starting from high school, enhancing their work-related skills through on-the-job training, summer training programs, and various forms of employment. This prepares them for the future labor market locally and globally.
