HRDF Offers an Exception to Employment Support to Boost Saudization Rates
The Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) has made an exception to one of the conditions of its Employment Support Product, demonstrating its commitment to supporting and empowering private sector establishments and increasing the Saudization of job opportunities in line with the changes and transformations occurring in the labor market.
The HRDF indicated that the exception allows establishments to submit support requests from the 91st to the 270th day after the employee's registration with the General Organization for Social Insurance, instead of the 180th day from the registration date. This exception is valid until Rabi' al-Awwal 17, 1446 AH (corresponding to September 20, 2024). After this date, the Employment Support Product mechanism will revert to its previous state.
The fund continually works to develop and enhance the skills of Saudi men and women, increase their participation in the labor market, and encourage the private sector to contribute to Saudization. Additionally, it aims to strengthen partnerships with relevant entities in training, employing, and empowering national talent, thereby increasing their competitiveness and sustainability in the labor market.
The HRDF has launched its new strategy to address the changes and challenges in the labor market, improve its efficiency, and respond to developments while considering sector-related needs and priorities. The strategy focuses on developing and aligning training, employment, and empowerment support programs and products with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Labor Market Strategy.
This strategy has enhanced the benefits for individuals and establishments from the fund’s programs and services. It aims to achieve three main objectives: enhancing the development of national human capital to meet the evolving labor market demands, improving the relationship between labor supply and demand, and enabling and sustaining employment in the private sector.
