The Human Resources Development Fund launches the Professional Counselor Rehabilitation Program in partnership with King Saud University
The Human Resources Development Fund was launched in partnership with King Saud University; The Career Advisors Rehabilitation Program in cooperation with the International Organization for Career Guidance "NCDA", in the presence of His Excellency the Director General of the Fund, Mr. Turki bin Abdullah Al-Jaweni, and His Excellency the Vice President for Educational and Academic Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Saleh Al-Nami, this morning (Sunday) at the university's headquarters.
The vocational counselors qualification program is the first of its kind in the Kingdom with regard to vocational guidance, as it aims to improve and develop national competencies in the educational and vocational sectors, and contribute to the employment of national cadres in the field of business in various disciplines, in addition to strengthening the aspect of community participation in the business sector. The program contributes to achieving one of the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 through the development of human capabilities.
In this context, Dr. Muhammad Al-Nami delivered a speech on behalf of His Excellency the President of the University, Dr. Badran bin Abdul Rahman Al-Omar; The program was carefully designed to raise the efficiency of national cadres in the educational sector and various sectors, as it comes in cooperation with the International Organization for Vocational Guidance "NCDA" as one of the houses of expertise in the field of qualification and professional and career development at the global level, as it will contribute - God willing - to support the development program Human capabilities are one of the programs of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, appreciating the keenness and support of the leadership to develop and raise the efficiency of the country's sons and daughters at various levels.
He continued, "From this standpoint and in recognition of the university's tangible role in developing the professional aspects of human cadres, including students, graduates, and employees, we will work with our partners in the project to contribute to raising the domestic product in this field."
He stated: "The role of the university focuses on achieving the main objectives of the project, raising the efficiency of the outputs related to the trainees, and achieving sustainability.
We look forward to the project achieving its development goal by contributing to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's vision related to the development of human capabilities in partnership with government and private community institutions.
For his part, His Excellency the General Manager of the Fund indicated; That the launch of the vocational counselors qualification program came with the aim of enhancing and developing the skills of national competencies in the educational and vocational sectors, and contributing to supporting the sustainability of employment in various fields and specializations of the labor market; To contribute to achieving one of the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 by developing human capabilities and overcoming challenges in the required disciplines.
He went on to say: "Our ambitious project, in which we share with the university, requires in its detailed objectives to build a basic base for vocational guidance through training local mentors, trainers and senior trainers; qualifying vocational advisors who are able to help individuals to develop educational and vocational plans and goals commensurate with their tendencies, abilities, and market needs." work; and enhancing career counseling capabilities through a professional and scientific journey based on the comprehensive training course.
And the Fund’s belief in the role of vocational guidance in supporting and stimulating Emiratisation and empowering national forces; Turki Al-Jawini mentioned that the programs and products have been redesigned in accordance with the general framework of the Fund's ambitious strategy that was launched recently; Where the vocational guidance program and other programs and initiatives have been developed and improved; to meet the requirements and changes of the labor market.
He said: "The launch of the mentors' rehabilitation program is a continuation of the Fund's efforts in the field of vocational guidance," reviewing the achievements and efforts made since the beginning of the current year 2023 until now with regard to the vocational guidance initiative. More than 342,000 male and female citizens have benefited from the vocational guidance and counseling platform (Sobol). While about 11,000 beneficiaries benefited from the remote vocational guidance initiative; The number of beneficiaries of the vocational guidance initiative in universities has reached more than 85,000 male and female students, in addition to members of the teaching and administrative staff.
And to complete the achievements; More than 64,000 male and female job seekers have benefited from the Occupational Orientation Measurement Project. The career guidance track also included holding workshops in partnership with the government, private and non-profit sectors, as well as those interested and specialists in the labor market. Where more than 136 workshops were held.
The Director General of the Fund affirmed that the Fund will continue its efforts to support the development of the skills and capabilities of the country’s sons and daughters, and to enhance Emiratisation opportunities and job sustainability. In integration with the human resources system and in cooperation with partners in the private sector.
