A Memorandum to Support Human Capital Development in the Industrial Sector
The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Human Resources Development Fund, with the aim of creating joint strategic cooperation between the two parties in order to contribute to the development of human capital in the industrial sector through initiatives and tools presented in partnership between the two parties, the most notable among them are on-the-job training, electronic training and supporting the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the sector, in addition to empowering the national workforce working in the industrial sector by supporting their training and raising their professional skills in order to enhance their sustainability in the labor market and keep pace with its changes.
The memorandum was signed by Mr. Badr bin Abdul Mohsen Al Sheikh, Assistant Chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, on behalf of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu and by Mr. Firas bin Abdulaziz Aba Al-Khail, Deputy Director General of the Human Resources Development Fund, on behalf of the Human Resources Development Fund.
The memorandum includes supporting the training of 2,000 trainees in the employment-related Maharat product, contributing to the training of 1,200 beneficiaries through the on-the-job training program (practical experience) and cooperative training, and activating the initiatives of the career guidance and counseling program and Subol portal services in the colleges, institutes and schools affiliated with the authority, in addition to enhancing knowledge content on the Doroob portal and providing specialized training courses in the industrial sector.
The two parties stressed the importance of holding periodic job meetings in order to promote Saudization in industrial sector professions and to work with relevant authorities in the sector to develop programs and services that achieve attraction to enhance and develop national human cadres in the industrial sector and empower them, in addition to joint coordination between the two parties to launch joint programs and initiatives in order to support skills building for job seekers in the sector through empowerment and training programs that reflect positively on the Saudization and sustainability of workers in the industrial sector.
