The National Labor Observatory hosted international and local experts in a workshop held in Riyadh, with the participation of 35 entities and specialists from the World Bank, as well as officials from various government agencies and stakeholders in labor affairs.

The workshop, titled "The National Labor Observatory: Factors of Success and Excellence," reviewed international experiences in building labor observatories and their significant roles in addressing labor issues. It also discussed their contribution to supporting efforts aimed at addressing unemployment.

Attendees discussed ways to enhance the role and effectiveness of the National Labor Observatory in empowering beneficiaries, within the framework of the Observatory's completed strategy.

Furthermore, the workshop reviewed the international trends report titled "Gig-Economy," which discusses international experiences in adapting to new work patterns. It also reviewed the comparative report to assess the performance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia compared to G20 countries in the labor market across five key indicators. These reports are among the products issued by the National Labor Observatory.

Dr. Osama Al-Jamili, the Executive Director of the National Labor Observatory, emphasized the importance of enhancing partnerships with global expertise firms, and learning from similar international experiences, exchanging expertise, adapting it, and investing it locally.

Al-Jamili highlighted that the workshop is part of the Observatory's efforts to enhance its role towards its partners, ensuring the improvement of the quality and type of services provided to beneficiaries and the labor market.

It's worth mentioning that the Observatory provides a range of reports, studies, analyses, and visuals based on comprehensive and accurate data. These resources enable forecasting the future of the labor market, addressing its challenges, evaluating policies and programs, measuring their impact, and supporting decision-makers and policymakers in achieving the goals of Vision 2030.
