An Agreement to Boost and Employment in the Tourism Sector
The Ministry of Tourism and the Human Resources Development Fund signed; A memorandum of cooperation to develop human capital in the tourism sector with the aim of enhancing cooperation and harmonization in common areas of work between the two parties with regard to guidance, training and empowerment in the tourism sector.
The signing ceremony took place in the city of Riyadh, where the Ministry of Tourism was represented by Eng. Mohammed bin Moin Bu Shannaq, Undersecretary for Tourism Human Capacity Development, while the Human Resources Development Fund was represented by Deputy Director General of Business, Mr. Firas bin Abdulaziz Aba Al Khail.
The memorandum included several areas of joint cooperation between the two parties, the most important of which is launching initiatives that support national cadres and enhance professional sustainability for practitioners, amateurs and entrepreneurs in various tourism fields, and stimulate the workforce to adopt modern work patterns in many tourism professions, in addition to holding workshops with the relevant authorities. ; To introduce programs and initiatives that support the nationalization of the tourism sector, and to organize periodic job meetings in order to promote nationalization and achieve job stability within the scope of work in the tourism sector.
The note comes; Based on the keenness of both parties to enhance the localization of the sector and provide it with qualified and trained personnel; In line with the aspirations and directives of the wise leadership - may God protect it - and in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in supporting the wheel of nationalization, achieving job sustainability, and contributing to building an economic system based on the participation of the sons and daughters of the nation in various fields and activities of the labor market.
The memorandum is one of the partnerships through which the two parties work to achieve their goals in an integrated manner between government agencies in an effort to achieve comprehensive national development, as the Ministry of Tourism is the legislator and responsible for the sector, developing it and monitoring its performance in the Kingdom, while the Human Resources Development Fund supports it through its programs and capabilities. Which is provided to private sector establishments.
