1.9 million Beneficiaries of Services and Products in 2023
The Director General of the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), Mr. Turki bin Abdullah Al-Jawaini, revealed that 1.9 million Saudi citizens benefited from the Fund's services and products in 2023. Additionally, more than 120,000 establishments across various regions and vital sectors of the Kingdom benefited from the Fund's services, with around 89% of these being medium, small, and micro-sized enterprises.
Al-Jawaini highlighted that the Fund supported the employment of approximately 374,000 Saudi men and women in private sector establishments during the same year. The total expenditure on support programs for training, guidance, and empowerment provided by the Fund during this period amounted to 8.7 billion Saudi Riyals.
He emphasized that the HRDF continuously works on developing and enhancing the skills of Saudi nationals, increasing their participation in the labor market, and encouraging the private sector to contribute to localization efforts. The Fund also aims to strengthen partnerships with relevant entities to train, employ, and empower national cadres, thereby increasing their competitiveness and sustainability in the labor market. These efforts align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing human capital and labor market strategy.
Al-Jawaini added that the new strategy of the Fund, launched in the first quarter of the previous year, has enhanced the benefits received by individuals and establishments from the Fund's programs and services. This strategy aims to achieve three main objectives: enhancing the development of national human capital to meet evolving labor market demands, improving the relationship between labor supply and demand, and enabling and sustaining employment in the private sector.
