HRDF and Tuwaiq Support Engineering Job Localization in Industrial Sector
The Human Resources Development Fund has signed a support and training agreement with Tuwaiq Casting and Forging Company aimed at qualifying national cadres to work in engineering professions within industrial establishments, in an effort to increase the rates of job localization in the industrial and mining sectors.
This agreement is part of the ongoing collaboration between the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and the Human Resources Development Fund to train national forces and equip them with specialized skills and capabilities in engineering jobs, enhancing the competitiveness of the sector and maximizing its economic impact, in line with the ambitious vision to transform the Kingdom into a major industrial power.
The agreement stipulates the Fund's contribution to training costs and trainees' stipends according to the approved mechanism for supporting the training of job seekers outside the Kingdom. It is a program linked to employing national cadres after their training and ensures the implementation of programs in a way that guarantees their quality and achievement of goals.
The agreement also includes the formation of a working team from both parties to follow up on the implementation of its provisions and hold periodic meetings according to work developments and needs.
The ministry and the Fund cooperate to achieve high-quality industries managed by the hands of the nation's sons and daughters working in various fields and activities of the industrial sector, considering industry as a fundamental pillar of development aimed at enhancing economic diversification and stimulating gross domestic product and non-oil exports, in line with the goals of Vision 2030.
It is noteworthy that Tuwaiq Casting and Forging Company is a joint investment between Dussur, Aramco, and Doosan companies.
